Prima Elam
Owner/Club Director
Prima Elam is the founder of Core Volleyball Club. With 15 years of coaching experience and 20 years of playing experience, Prima has been involved in volleyball almost her entire lifetime. Her playing experience includes Sacramento City College. As a member of the Sacramento City College team, she played opposite and helped the team finish 4th in the State of California. Prima then went on to finish at Cal State Hayward.
Four years ago she founded Core Volleyball Club and in the first year the club had six teams and five teams last year. Prior to Core, she was the Club Director for California Volleyball Academy and assisted in developing California Volleyball Academy from a start up club its first year only offering camps and clinics to six teams its second season and CVA finished with eight teams in the second year. Prima also co-coached CVA 18-1 and the team finished 27th overall in the 18’s division in the Northern California Region. Prima was the first assistant at Diablo Valley College in 2006. Also in 2006 Prima also took over the program at Monte Vista High School and led them to a 20-9 record. The Mustangs finished 3rd in EBAL and went on to the NCS Semi-Finals. Prima returned to Monte Vista for two more High School Seasons, and led the Mustangs to a 26-8 record, finishing 2nd in EBAL, going undefeated the second half of the EBAL Season. In the spring of 2009, Prima accepted the position as the Setting/Defensive coach at Skyline College in San Bruno.
